Sunnyvale is turning 100 this August! The city is planning a weekend-long celebration to commemorate the occasion (August 25-26). On tap are a parade, hay rides around the historic cherry orchard behind the community center, bike tours, a scavenger hunt around the city, various exhibits and demonstrations at the Sunnyvale Historic Museum, an exhibit of music and dance throughout the century, and many more activities for the entire family to enjoy.
It is not too late to enter a float in the centennial parade! The deadline is August 1. Please consult the event website for more information at http://www.sunnyvale100.com/centennial-parade/.
Event organizers are looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks in order to make the celebration a success.
