Bishop started instruction in their new two-story classrooms on April 23, 2018. All staff came out to the new courtyard in order to assist families in finding their new classroom. Third, fourth and fifth-grade classrooms are now located on the second floor. Students quickly unpacked their desks, got acquainted with their new classroom, and dove right into the day’s lessons. The next phase of construction will be to complete the modernization work in the administration building and auditorium, as well as finishing the new media center. That will be followed by the construction of the multi-use/cafeteria and play area. For construction updates please visit https://www.sesd.org/Page/3991.
This project is one example of how community support is benefiting our students. Our local school bond, Measure G, allows us to improve technology and make all schools more energy efficient. In November 2013, voters in the Sunnyvale School District passed Measure G: a $96 million school bond measure to continue rebuilding Sunnyvale School District. Thank you for your support!
