Sunnyvale Middle School welcomed approximately 350 incoming sixth graders at the WEB Orientation on Friday, August 11. WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) is a national program aimed at easing the transition to middle school. Incoming sixth graders were welcomed to SMS by a cheering gauntlet of 70 excited eighth-grade WEB Leaders. These leaders played ice-breakers, imparted Words of Wisdom, and took the sixth graders on a fun and informative tour of campus. The 70 leaders demonstrated their commitment to the program by attending 2 days of training in addition to the orientation. Because of these awesome leaders, the sixth graders’ middle school career started on a positive note and Sunnyvale Middle School is truly a place Where Everybody Belongs!
