LVNA donates school supplies to Lakewood and Fairwood

Thanks to the Lakewood Village Neighborhood Association, nearly $500 worth of school supplies are being donated to students at Lakewood and Fairwood Elementary Schools!

The donations include:

  • (165) ten pack #2 lead pencils
    • (246) two pocket folders
    • (40) five count dividers
    • (4) ten pack sharpies
    • (32) three pack glue sticks
    • (4) lunch box coolers
    • (12) pencil boxes
    • (5) 1″ ring folders

It was through a Fairwood Elementary parent that the LVNA (Lakewood Village Neighborhood Association) was alerted about an opportunity to apply for donations from Walmart.

“Once we were alerted to the supplies, LVNA president, Imelda Misch, applied to receive them and did,” said first vice president Tony Bugna. “The board decided we wanted to donate them to the schools in Lakewood Village.  We wanted to help the children, parents, and teachers. In addition, it will hopefully raise awareness to the families that LVNA is here as a resource to the community.”
