In October, Acknowledge Alliance had an Appreciation Party with donors and educators in attendance. Since 1994, the organization has provided mentoring for educators,
counseling for youth and social-emotional learning curriculum into all levels of learning at K-12 schools.
Sunnyvale School District (SSD) was represented by two teacher speakers at the event, Colleen Lynch Espinoza, kindergarten teacher at San Miguel Elementary School, and Emily
Moorehead, sixth grade teacher at Columbia Middle School.
Acknowledge Alliance, formerly The Cleo Eulau Center (CEC), is focused on creating classrooms where students want to learn and teachers want to teach. The group accomplishes this by partnering with educators and other caring adults in school settings to support the social and emotional needs of youth. Acknowledge Alliance and SSD have been partners for five years.
