Fairwood Explorer is open to all kindergarten through grade 5 students who live within the Sunnyvale School District boundaries. Spaces are allocated through a lottery held every year in March.
Since 2010, Fairwood Explorer has provided students with hands-on, challenge-based instruction and active community involvement through teacher-parent collaboration and family participation. The Explorer program offers high academic standards, small-group instruction and a focus on whole-child education. Students in the program are encouraged to be creative, intellectually curious, confident, respectful, self-disciplined and socially responsible.
Fairwood Explorer will be holding two information nights for prospective parents looking for a whole-child education with a project-based, hands-on learning approach for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year.
DATES: December 10, 2013 and January 13, 2014
TIME: 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
