The Golden State Warriors, in partnership with Ross Stores and Reading Partners, hosted a Read to Achieve Reading Rally at Ellis Elementary School on March 7, in celebration of Women’s History Month. The Reading Rally, which was facilitated by Warriors In-Game Host Ruby Lopez, took place at a school assembly where Warriors forward, Quinn Cook, and Warriors assistant coach/player development, Bruce Fraser, spoke to the students about the importance of reading. The pair also helped Reading Partners students read out loud, with one of the books focusing on women’s history.
The Warriors celebrated Women’s History Month throughout March with a variety of in-arena activities and community efforts to spotlight the vanguards of the women’s movement, while also inspiring and empowering a new generation of female leaders.
