Your tax dollars at work! Measure GG Bond Update

Ellis Elementary, Sunnyvale_110

Sunnyvale School District is part of an amazing community that has continually supported our district through the successful passing of local bond measures. Currently, we are utilizing funds from the Measure GG Bond to complete an entire campus modernization at Ellis Elementary School.

These bond funds will also be responsible for the updating of HVAC systems, roof replacements, exterior improvements, and security upgrades at San Miguel, Fairwood, and Vargas Elementary schools.

Each project brings a level of excitement to them but there is one project that Measure GG will be accomplishing that adds another level to that. That is the planning and construction of a brand new 2-story classroom building at Sunnyvale Middle School! This project is the first step in our journey to modernize SMS in its entirety.

This project will address SSD’s mission to eliminate old temporary housing (portable) classrooms in exchange for state-of-the-art learning environments. These spaces will give our students and staff the best opportunity to share, receive, and collaborate. We will work closely with educational partners onsite to ensure this project meets the vision onsite and is a finished product that exceeds expectations for years to come.
