The following is a summary of actions taken by the Sunnyvale School District Board at the June and August meetings.
June 3 (Regular Board Meeting)
- Approved the annual Declaration of Need for Fully Qualified Educators.
- Approval of Resolution R21-21; In the Matter of Requesting the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara Establish a Tax Rate for Bonds to be Sold During Fiscal Year 2021-22.
June 9 (Special Board Meeting)
- Public employee performance evaluation: Superintendent
June 17 (Special Board Meeting)
- The board met in closed session to hold a conference with the labor negotiator about the Sunnyvale Educators Association (SEA), California School Employees Association (CSEA), and Sunnyvale Certificated and Classified Association for Management Personnel (SCCAMP)
- Public employee performance evaluation: Superintendent
June 17 (Regular Board Meeting)
- Adopted the 2021-2024 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)
- Adopted the 2021-2022 Budget
- Approved Resolution 21-22 – Local Agreement with the California Department of Education Child Care and Development Services for 2021-2022.
- Approved Resolution 21-23: In the Matter of Education Protection Account
- Approved Resolution 21-24 in the matter of authorizing inter-fund loans for cash flow purposes
- Approved Tentative Agreement between Sunnyvale School District and Sunnyvale Education Association (SEA) Public Disclosure of the Financial Input in Accordance with AB 1200.
- Approval of the Tentative Agreement between Sunnyvale School District and California School Employees Association (CSEA) and the Public Disclosure of the Financial Input in Accordance with AB1200
- Approval of Sunnyvale Certificated and Classified Association for Management Personnel (SCCAMP) and Sunnyvale School District Revisions of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Public Disclosure of the Financial Input in Accordance with AB1200

Board of Education meetings are generally scheduled at 7 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of the month and are held at the Sunnyvale School District Office located at 819 W. Iowa Avenue.
