Former Sunnyvale Middle School Students win second place for Public Health Enhancement Project

The Public Health Enhancement Project (PHEP), a group of mostly former Sunnyvale Middle School students (Elisa Floyd, Rachel Young, and Karen Zhang) who worked on a COVID awareness video series last year, had submitted their project to compete nationally in the Civic Leadership Academy. The project was judged by a panel of civic leaders from across the country and after a day of presentations through Zoom, the team was awarded second place and a prize of $500. The PHEP team is hoping to use this award to further their upcoming projects to help benefit their local community; more information may be found on their website https://www.publichealthenhancementproject.com.
