With a Sunnyvale library card, our students have access to a world of books, movies, and music right at their fingertips! The Sunnyvale Public Library also subscribes to several online resources with a multitude of features that can be taken advantage of by logging in with a Sunnyvale library card. Students may access these online resources from the many computers available for public use at the library or from their own home computer – all free of charge!
Sunnyvale School District students of all ages are benefiting from these online resources as well as from the homework help available in the After School Center at the Sunnyvale Public Library. The after-school program is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is a free drop-in program where students needing a little extra tutorial can get the help they need from student volunteers. With a Sunnyvale library card, students have access to the library’s World Book Encyclopedia online software along with all the other resources offered at the library. The Sunnyvale Public Library also has one copy of each of Sunnyvale School District’s grade level textbooks, in all subjects, available to help the district’s students with their homework after school.
If you have a teenager between the ages of 13-17 who would like to volunteer at the library in the After School Center, please contact JoAnn Rees at 408-730-7293 for details regarding the program and the application process.
