Sunnyvale School District has been awarded a grant through Silicon Valley Clean Energy that is designed to help fund projects centered around transitioning older gas-fed furnaces to electric. The heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system at Vargas Elementary School was a perfect project to present for this grant and we have been notified our application was approved for the maximum amount of $500,000!

This is great news for the District and the community and allows us to extend our available Bond Measure GG funding to other areas and projects. Sunnyvale School District takes its fiscal responsibility very seriously and is happy to report to educational partners that their tax dollars will go even further thanks to this grant.
