Seven Sunnyvale School District elementary students competed March 
29 in Sodexo’s Future Chefs Challenge. The national initiative aims to get students thinking about making healthy food choices while encouraging them to get active and creative in the kitchen! Sunnyvale School District joined 256 districts across the country. The winning student from each participating district will be considered for regional finalist awards and will vie to become one of five national finalists competing for the public’s vote on a special Future Chefs YouTube channel.
Congratulations to Lauren Kaniuth of Fairwood Explorer who finished first place for our district! Her winning recipe will be featured on the menu at her school for a day so everyone can try her delicious sugarless brownies!
