Sunnyvale School District is currently developing a six-year Strategic Plan for our schools. The purpose of a Strategic Plan is to capture diverse voices and align them to a unified direction.
Beginning in November and continuing through June, several teams will convene to review academic data, surveys, and other data to help see how students are currently doing, identify areas of strength and areas of concern, and root causes of the current state of student learning and to come up with solutions to boost student learning, instructional effectiveness, and empowering infrastructure.
Teams include a Core Planning Team, Student Voice Team, Family Team, Instructional Focus Team, School/Departments Team, Principals/Administrators Team, Alignment Team, and the School Board.
We welcome feedback and ideas from our parents and community members. We want the Strategic Plan to be inclusive of the diversity of backgrounds, voices, and perspectives that make up the Sunnyvale School District.
SSD will hold its second Community Forum on January 22, 2024, at 6 p.m. in the District Board Room at 819 W. Iowa Avenue, Sunnyvale. Please join us and share your thoughts!
