The Sunnyvale Public Library will be hosting a Kindergarten Readiness Workshop on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 6:30-8:30 p.m in their Program Room. Experienced staff from the FIRST 5 Santa Clara County Learning Together Initiative Family Resource Center will be there to discuss:
*Ways to improve a child’s classroom success, socialization and adaption to school
*The basic building blocks for kindergarten readiness
*Activities you can do at home to prepare children for the kindergarten transition
Participants will receive a copy of the FIRST 5 Santa Clara County Parent/Teacher Handbook and DVD that gives families tips on how to prepare for school. The workshop is free and registration is required. Children are welcome to attend, however no childcare is available.
