The Sunnyvale School District school sites have created wonderful partnerships with top businesses within the Silicon Valley throughout the years. The community partnerships have funded programs, special projects, and/or equipment for students within the District. Recently, one of our community partners, LinkedIn, made a very generous donation to the District which included 125 MacBook Pro’s and 2 Dell Laptops. LinkedIn, headquartered in Mountain View, is the world’s largest professional network on the internet with offices all across the globe.
The District began the initial deployment of the computers to support training and to replace aging systems. The Technology Department will also be installing some of the donated laptops in computer labs and classrooms throughout the District. Students and staff across the District are very appreciative to be receiving replacement computers for their lessons.
The District would like to thank not only LinkedIn but all of our Community Business Partners for being instrumental in continuing to bring technology to our students while partnering with the District in order to pursue its Vision: The Sunnyvale School District will be widely recognized for high student achievement by providing an exemplary and well-rounded education that builds on individual strengths and learning styles. The District and the community will be engaged in teaching students to dream bigger, achieve higher and grow stronger as individuals and leaders.
